PONTY POST OFFICE SCHEDULED TO RE-OPEN

Post Office management has confirmed that the Pontypridd town centre post office is scheduled to re-open during week commencing 5th February 2018.

Welcoming the news Mick Antoniw AM said:

“When I met with Post Office management recently, I was encouraged by their assurance that the Pontypridd branch would re-open at the earliest opportunity. The news that the town centre branch is scheduled to re-open for business next week will be warmly welcomed by customers who have felt the absence of this important service.

“Owen Smith MP and I are keen to work with Post Office management to explore ways of ensuring continuity of service if similar circumstances arise in the future. In the meantime, I’d like to tank Post Office managers for the priority they have assigned to this issue.”

Commenting on the announcement Owen Smith MP said:

“The unexpected closure of Pontypridd Post Office was a cause for concern for many residents and businesses alike. Mick and I have worked closely with Post Office managers to make sure that the Post Office reopened as quickly as possible.

“I’m delighted to hear that the branch is scheduled to re-open next week and that it will once again be providing a much-needed service to customers in our town centre.”
