Tackling problem gambling
A group of Assembly Members including Pontypridd AM Mick Antoniw has commissioned a report on problem gambling in Wales. The report aims to establish – amongst other things – the density of problem gambling and its link to poverty and other addictions.
You can view or download the report here.
Mick Antoniw said:
“Problem gambling affects people of all ages, but it’s increasingly becoming an issue for young people. A big issue is that there is so little known about gambling trends, although it’s impact on debt, health and family breakdown is a growing issue for the Welsh government. That’s why I commissioned research by the University of South Wales to identify the scale of the issue in the Pontypridd constituency and across Wales.”
